Yard Associate/Loader Operator

This position focuses primarily on the operation of a loader to load bulk aggregates, boulders, and pallets into customer and contractor vehicles in a safe and efficient manner. Individuals must demonstrate dedication to exceptional customer service and be able to build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Providing customers with pricing and delivery information
• Ensure timely shipment of materials and customer satisfaction
• Maintaining strong working relationships with customers
• Assisting with customer service inquiries
• Providing sales support to existing customer accounts
• Loading customer vehicles and company trucks
• Complying with health and safety as per Rockland Health and Safety Manual
• Performing equipment inspections daily
• Operating equipment in a safe and effective manner while avoiding damage to property and equipment
• Completing other tasks assigned by supervisor as needed

Qualifications and Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years of loader operation required
• Landscape product knowledge considered an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Disciplined work ethic and positive attitude
• Ability to work independently
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Physical ability to handle prolonged sitting, jostling in cab, and getting in and out of equipment
• Ability to prioritize work to meet tight deadlines

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
