Position Overview:
We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, and motivated Assistant Instructor to support our talented team in delivering our STEAM and Culinary Arts programs. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about education and loves working with children in a dynamic, creative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist lead instructors in preparing for and delivering engaging STEAM and Culinary Arts lessons.
• Help set up, organize, and ensure all materials and supplies are ready for each activity or class session.
• Guide students in completing classroom projects and activities, providing one-on-one support as needed.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students, maintaining a positive and productive learning environment.
• Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and staff, offering excellent customer service and support.Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning space by following sanitation and cleanliness standards.
• Assist with birthday parties and special events, including preparing materials and assisting with the execution of activities.
• Be flexible and float between classrooms as needed, providing additional support where necessary.
• Handle front desk and administrative tasks, including responding to inquiries, assisting with registrations, and maintaining records.
• Support students with snacks and lunch, ensuring that dietary needs are met and the area remains clean.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting is a plus.
• A strong interest in STEAM education or the culinary arts is beneficial.
• CPR and First Aid certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain).
• If over 18 years of age, a valid vulnerable sector police record check is required.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
