Food Counter Attendant/Cashier

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be the face of our food service operation, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring that food is prepared and served in accordance with safety and quality standards. Your ability to engage with customers and promote menu items will contribute to a positive dining experience.

Duties

• Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and food safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the food preparation area, equipment, and serving counters.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change.
• Ensure all food items are stored properly to maintain freshness and comply with safety regulations.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations while performing duties.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food preparation or food service is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing time effectively.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.
• A willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks as needed.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
