Lift Legal is looking for a new team member to join our fun and fast-paced office! You would be part of our thriving corporate team and would assist with all manner of challenging and interesting corporate files.

There is an opportunity in this role to work with a Trademark Agent in registering trademarks and other IP matters so an interest in this field is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Incorporate and organize Alberta and Federal corporations, societies, and not-for-profit entities.
- Assist lawyers with amalgamations, reorganizations, share issuances, articles of amendment, asset and share sales and purchases, agreement drafting and unanimous shareholder agreements.
- Register limited partnerships, and extra-provincial registrations.
- Prepare dividend resolutions.
- Review and update minute books.
- Maintain minute books and file annual returns.
- Update corporate registries to reflect name changes, amendments to articles and changes to directors.
- Enter entities in a corporate database and document management system.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education from a recognized Paralegal or Legal Assistant program, or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of relevant experience as a corporate paralegal is preferred.
- Proficiency with Adobe and MS Office programs.
- CORES Level 2 is preferred with the option to study for Cores Level 3.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize work, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent problem solving skills with a proactive mindset and takes ownership of their work product.
- Strong attention to detail and be committed to producing accurate and high-quality work.
- Strong customer service and relationship building skills.

Pay: $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
