Competition: LN 24-25-0 66 Educational Assistant 1 (EA1 ) St. Albert Public Schools is currently recruiting a Part Time, Probationary , Educational Assistant 1 for work assignment at É cole É l é mentaire Leo Nickerson Elementary School .More than 9000 students are enrolled in St. Albert Public Schools. Hours of Work: 27.5 hrs. /week; 5.50 hrs. /day; Monday-Friday; Part Time, ProbationaryHourly Rate: $21.98 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective AgreementSpecific Needs/Requirements for this position: Experience implementing positive behavior support plan strategies requiredExperience implementing ILP and IPP goalsVerbal Intervention Training is an assetFormal Post-Secondary training is preferredCandidate must have strong skills in managing students' behaviorPreferred candidates would have experience working with Division 1 & 2 studentsExperience working with a multi-disciplinary team an assetExperience working with students with various diverse learning and behavioural needs an assetExperience with complex needs and autism is preferredExperience with augmentative communication devices an assetVerbal de-escalation training considered an assetExperience with complex learning profilesApplications, either written or electronic, must include documentation which describes: Highest level of formal education.Professional certificates, trade certificates, etc.Courses, seminars, specialized training.Experience related to the position.Other skills and abilities applicable to the position.In accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement, this position offers a comprehensive benefits package found under Alberta School Employee Benefit Plan.
