Join us for the Snowflake Festival Light-up St. Albert
Friday, December 3, 2010 6:00 – 9:00 pm

Light up the holidays with a traditional Christmas celebration you won’t want to miss!

At Community Hall
- Watch as the Christmas Tree comes alive as Santa turns on the lights  at 6:00 pm

- Visit Santa at the North Pole from 6:15-8:30 pm

- Decorating cookies with festive themes

- Snowflake Ice Sculpture


At St. Albert Place
- The Elves’ in their Workshop and make special take home lanterns sponsored by U Weight Loss from 6:00-8:00 pm

- Watch a Christmas film sponsored by Grandin Theatres

- Stories around the Christmas tree hosted by the St. Albert Public Library from 6:30-7:30 pm

- Enjoy food and activities hosted by Alberta 55+ Winter Games

- Children's Lantern Parade from St. Albert Place to Community Hall at 8:00 pm

 
On Perron Street
- Participating businesses in the Perron District will be open for business during the festival

- Horse & Wagon ride through the Perron District sponsored by Bermont Realty (1983) Ltd., City of St. Albert Business & Tourism, Concept Jewelry Design Inc., and the St. Albert Gazette from 6:00-9:00 pm

- Get up close and personal with Santa’s live reindeer sponsored by Sam Elias- RE/MAX

- Roaming mascots sponsored by Grandin Theatres and Old Hippy Wood Products

- St. Albert Singers Guild will be singing Christmas carols

- 9th Annual Fill-A-Bus Campaign – organized by the drivers of St. Albert Transit for the St. Albert Kinette’s Christmas Hamper Campaign; visit the Fill-A-Bus with a non-perishable food donation
 

- The Salvation Army will be serving hot chocolate and collecting donations

- Musée Héritage Museum will be open until 8:00 pm to view the current exhibition Patterns in Glass, make old fashioned snowflakes, and will be serving hot beverages and candy canes

- Profiles Art Gallery of St. Albert- attend the Opening Reception for the current exhibition, Vessels, participate in the Children’s Holiday Art Workshop in the Underground Studio, enjoy the Snowball Scavenger Hunt, and cookies, popcorn and refreshments will be available from 6:00-9:00 pm

- Free Christmas film will be playing at Grandin Theatres
