Transitions is currently looking to recruit Casual - Child and Youth Support Workers - for the St. Albert, Sturgeon County and NW Edmonton area in our Family Services Program
As a Child and Youth Support Worker you will:
- be comfortable working within the family home and also support children/youth to be active participants within their community.
- be self-motivated with strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
- create and explore natural learning opportunities.
- present yourself as a positive role model and mentor
- be willing to work within a flexible schedule (Late Afternoons / Evenings / Weekends)
Applicants must ensure the safety and supervision of the children/youth they support.
Position Requirements:
- Emergency first Aid & CPR/AED Level C, or willing to obtain it prior to employment
- Own a reliable vehicle with third party liability insurance of $1 million
- Possess a Class 5 driver’s licence
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
- Child Intervention Record Check (Child Intervention Record Check is free).

Job Type: Casual
Pay: $17.73-$27.00 per hour
Flexible language requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- Evening shift
- Every Weekend
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- child support: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Class 5 drivers licence (required)
- Reliable vehicle with 3rd party liability of $1 million (required)
- Emergency First Aid level C CPR/AED (preferred)
