Computer, Phone/iPad Technician
Full job description
As a Computer (and other electronics) Technician at our St. Albert location, you will be a vital member of our IT support team, responsible for providing technical assistance and troubleshooting for home and business computer systems and basic networks to our wide variety of customers.
With heavy emphasis on core skills in empathy and human interaction, technical knowledge and software troubleshooting is important, but comes second. Our customers come to us seeking a solution to their issues, and they expect a pleasant experience without un-necessary technical jargon or being made to feel stupid or silly for needing assistance.
Your hands on skills in MacOS and Windows operating systems will be valuable in handling the most simple to advanced technical issues efficiently. Additionally, your relevant skills in Microsoft Office, email clients, iCloud services, and general customer service will enhance your ability to deliver exceptional support to our users.
Our goal is to provide a 5-star review worthy experience to our customers with every interaction, and you must have the attitude and confidence to make this happen.
We are a small company that is growing quickly. We focus heavily on building and following processes and procedures that augment the customer experience as much as possible. You must be open and willing to follow these procedures, and we welcome ideas and improvements from our team to always get closer to perfection!
While most hours will be spent in store servicing computers, phones, tablets, and other electronics, we provide 1-on-1 education support in store, as well as Remote and On-Site Support for home consumers and local small businesses.
Excellent verbal and written English, including punctuation and grammar is also extremely important in maintaining our professional image.
Attention to detail, proper grammar and spelling, and maintaining a professional demeanour in all areas (in person, in writing, in email/SMS communication, and on the phone) is absolutely crucial. Ensuring we follow our customer's instructions, make note of their needs, and clarification on any inconsistencies is key to providing that positive experience.
