Early Childhood Educator

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. This role is essential in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of early childhood education principles and be committed to creating engaging learning experiences that cater to the diverse needs of children.

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support children's development.
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain an orderly and productive learning space.
• Assess children's progress through observation and documentation, providing feedback to parents as needed.
• Incorporate bilingual education strategies for students who speak English as a second language or are bilingual.
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate children with special educational needs.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
• Strong time management skills to effectively plan and execute daily activities.
• Excellent organizational skills for maintaining classroom materials and records.
• Experience working in a classroom setting is highly desirable.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and another language (e.g., Spanish or French) is a plus.
• Familiarity with special education practices is advantageous.
• Proficiency in using technology for educational purposes is beneficial (computerise).
• A genuine passion for educating young children and supporting their growth.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00-$23.20 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
