JOB POSTING ATA 24/25 - 50 Division Services Centre Director Student Support Services Full Time 1.0 FTE Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools is located on the original lands of the Cree, those of Treaty 6, and on the homeland of the Métis nation. Other areas of assigned responsibility will be contingent upon the skills and experience of the successful candidate.Duties to Commence: May 5, 2025 (or as mutually agreed) Education and Experience: Must have a Bachelor of Education Degree and hold an Alberta permanent professional teaching certificate; Must have a Master's Degree;Additional formal education is considered an asset.Demonstrated excellence as a principal in furthering a culture of instructional leadership;Demonstrate a passion for school improvement through proven excellence in school leadership;Has a variety of experience and knowledge with programming for children and students with diverse learning needs and complexities in school communities.Qualifications: Committed to being a model and witness to Christ-centered education values and beliefs; Apply foundational knowledge about First Nations, Métis and Inuit for the benefit of all students, and support the Division's goals towards advancing Truth and Reconciliation; The successful candidate is expected to be an excellent practitioner and leader of Catholic education, who is a witness and model of our faith to others;Who demonstrates life-long learning in areas of leadership;Exhibits excellence in being a collaborative and relationship-focused leader; Is passionate about growing relationships with our local Indigenous communities, service providers, and community partners;Is an innovative and effective instructional leader;Have an exceptionally strong work ethic and a high level of personal and professional integrity;Have a track record of functioning as a high performing team player; Has demonstrated a passion for diverse learning; Has exceptional knowledge and skills to navigate positive solutions for students/children, their families and the school learning team; Has demonstrated an excellent understanding of budgeting and resource allocation.The Role: As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team and reporting to the Assistant Superintendent Learning Services, the Director of Student Support Services will: promote by example the Catholic Christian identity of the Division; develop and implement strategies to support system and school growth; support School Learning Teams with programming for pre- kindergarten children to grade 12 students who require specialized supports and services; coordinate, plan, and deliver responsive and collaborative professional development to support and extend diverse learning knowledge and skills across the division; monitor and maintain up-to-date school profile information to ensure equity of supports and services across the division; provide input and recommendations for SLS school budget allocations; manage budgets for students who have supports through PUF (Program Unit Funding) and Jordan's Principle funding; supervise Divisional staff (Division Psychologist, Family Support Worker, Student Support Coordinator, Therapists); develop, supervise, and ensure accountability for the Division's Jordan's Principle application; provide divisional leadership in the area of therapeutic services (speech, OT, PT); provide leadership to areas of student wellness and safety, including counselling, Violence Threat Risk Assessment (ARTO), Emergency Protocols, and Critical Incident Response; develop, integrate, and support comprehensive wellness, including management of grants from partner organizations.Other areas of assigned responsibility will be contingent upon the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
