An ideal candidate for the "Full Time Baker" position will possess a minimum of 2 years baking experience. Post Secondary in a relative field is an asset, but not required.
Considerable candidates will be 18 years or older.
Food Safe Certificate an asset.
Pro Serve Certificate an asset.
Confections Cake Co. is looking for a full time baker to join our team! Confections doubles as a specialty cake shop/bakery as well as a licensed dessert bar/café. Custom Cakes, Wedding Cakes, and Plated Desserts as well as seasonal holiday treats are some of our main focus points.
Our Full Time Baker's standard duties will include:
- Scaling ingredients and following recipes to bake cakes, pastries, and other desserts and savory items.
- Filling and icing cakes.
- Organizing prep work and filling current and next day orders.
- Answer customer phone calls and write up specified orders.
- Cleaning and sanitizing your workspace daily, dishes, other cleaning duties.
- Other responsibilities will include serving tables, and plating in house desserts and savory items.
Excellent customer service skills are required.
Ability to lift 40lbs.
Must be able to be on your feet for 8 hours a day.
Must work well under pressure and have good time management skills.
