Grandin Bakery is a family-run bakery in St. Albert. We make all kinds of baking, including breads, buns, pastries, and cakes. The majority of our cakes are decorated in buttercream, but we also do fondant designs.
Responsibilities and Duties
This position involves filling and decorating cakes, icing cupcakes, making cake pops, and other similar food preparation activities. To see photos of the types of cakes we make, please visit our website.
Job responsibilities also include monitoring stock, basic cleaning duties, providing excellent customer service, and potentially pricing custom cake and cupcake designs.
Qualifications and Skills
One year's experience of cake decorating in a bakery setting is required. We need someone with strong skills in buttercream decorating. A large portion of our cake decorating involves drawing on cakes. Fondant experience is an asset. Food safety certification is also beneficial.
Hours
Shifts are typically Tuesday through Friday or Saturday, starting at 8:00 am.
