Medical Office Assistant

We are seeking a positive, approachable and highly motivated Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our dynamic team at Cardio Connect in St. Albert. There is currently an opening for one full-time position with an immediate start date for the right candidate.

You will be joining our passionate team of cardiac care professionals in a fast paced, dynamic, and supportive work environment. Our specialist clinic services the geographic area of Edmonton and its surrounding communities. While experience within the cardiology field is a bonus, we will train the right candidate for all office specific MOA procedures and tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer care duties such as bookings, referrals, and follow ups.
  • Maintaining a high level of professionalism, respect, confidentiality and engagement when interacting with patients in person and on the phone.
  • Administrative duties such as electronically indexing/filing patient charts.
  • Daily pulls/uploads of patient data within the Alberta Netcare portal and Heathquest EMR.
  • Ongoing professional development and education.
  • Being an active participant in clinic success and growth.

Requirements:

  • Current MOA certification or equivalent.
  • Minimum three years of MOA experience in a clinic/hospital setting is preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Familiarity with MS Office Suite.
  • Experience with Netcare and use of HealthQuest an asset but can be taught.
  • Immunization records, clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector search.
  • Highly professional, engaged, and self-motivated team player focused on provision of an excellent level of customer service.
  • Respectful team player with above average communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to actively participate in, promote, and lead change.
  • Ability to seek out feedback on performance, set professional goals, and take constructive criticism as an opportunity to grow.
